how do you farm the gold golem

Go to his arena, kill him, inspect the loot. Save and exit. Repeat.
Just like any other boss.

Assuming you have completed Tiny Tina's and have met him already.

There is no such thing as a Legendary Purple. All legendaries are orange.

As for the Gold Golem, it has an increased chance to drop the Infinity as well as Sledge's Shotgun.

As far as I'm aware - note, I never farmed the guy, got this from video's/ streams or womething - He has a very large lootpool. Most of the legendaries of the game can drop from him.

Ofcourse, no tubby mods, norfleets and that kind of exclusive stuff. But basically a high-chance world drop kind of deal.

Again, I don't know this for a fact.

the gun is complete crap unless you are right there in front of them so that the burst actually hits them
