Quest: Mine, All Mine (optional objective)

The optional objective of this mission is: Kill Prospector (Zeke) using Slag.
I did this in another playthrough by waiting until mordecai slagged him and thought that I could kill him with basically any weapon after mordecai did his job.
My problem is that I didnt really check if it worked or not but I kind of think it DIDNT.

So thats my Question: Does it work this way?
And if not: What kind of criteria has to be met in order to get the optional objective done?

Does it work if he´s slagged with my own weapon and if I´m killing him with a grenade or another gun?
Or does it only work if he´s slagged with my own slag gun and also killed with the same gun?

Oh Btw: Plz dont think that I am asking for guesses and plz dont answer if you´re not 100% sure that your answer is right. I am kind of tired of ppl answering my questions while they dont even know the answer. I´d prefer to get none answer than wrong answers because I´m at least not mislead in that case.

Lets see if there´s someone with this kind of indepth knowledge.

It's pretty straight forward and exactly as it says: Deliver the killing blow with a slag weapon. Just kill him with a slag weapon (I guess you can whittle him down with a different weapon, then deliver the killing shot with the slag gun).

No in-depth knowledge required. Just common sense.

English isnt my native language but I think that there is enought room for different interpretations.

I don't understand your difficulty here. It's pretty straightforward. Just kill the prospector using a slag weapon (counts as killing him with slag), or reslag him right before delivering the killing blow (slag can wear off which might be what happened to you)...

All the game cares about is if he was slagged when he died.

(1) "Does it work this way?" No it doesn't work that way. Slag isn't necessary, a slag kill isn't rewarded with anything more or different than a non-slag kill, slag is only mentioned because it makes the kill easier (and you get credit for the slagged kill though it isn't worth anything more or different than the credit for the non-slag kill).
(2) "Does it work if he's ... another gun?" Yes this can kill him.
(3) "Does it work if he's ... same gun?" But yes this works best of all for the quickest and most certain slag kill.
