Pyro Pete solo tips?
Trying to kill Pete solo. Level 72. Tried it first on OP1. Barely took his shield halfway down. On level 72 standard I can get his shield down, and start working his health down, but by then the rats and spiderants are too strong, and I'm toast. Im playing as a siren. Any tips?

Trespasser and knock his helmet off so that you can crit him.

Grenade jump up the ledge. Hide behind one of the columns when he does his nova. Eventually he jumps to the ledge and most likely will get stuck. You can jump down and shoot at him at will.

Try to use cover in his arena. There are places where you are save. No need to nade-jump. Have a good timing and you are fine.

you can actually climb up to the ledge, go to the second pillar on your right of the dual pillars face directly into the corner where the wall and pillar meet hit w space continually until you are up there use you action skill to keep pete busy while you do this.

also get an evolution shield, and you will laugh at his corrosive/fire attack

I've actually been using the Impaler like you suggested. Its nice to not be bothered by the corrosive nova.

The easiest way is to glitch up the wall and use the pillars for cover when he raises his arms for the novas. If he jumps up on the wall, you can either jump down and use the pillars as cover from below, or (if he stands correctly) stay up and again use the pillars as cover if you move a little sideways so that he can't hit you while you can hit him.

How to get up the wall: When you get off the elevator, there are pillars on the right side of the room. Go to the right-most pillar, move to the left side of it, and jump up into the corner, then spam space key. Grenade jumping may work too. If done right, you'll glitch up the wall. May take a bit of practice, but is pretty easy to do once you have found the spot. Whether you find this method acceptable is up to you. It doesn't make you immune, and I rationalize it by recalling that this encounter is meant for four players.

For weapons, I like an electric Sand Hawk SMG and a Storm Front grenade for the shield phase, and whatever you have for the flesh phase. Slagga or (better) Florentine for slagging. I usually just keep using the Sand Hawk or Florentine or switch to a DP Unkempt Harold. I use an Inflammable Bee here. Probably not the fastest way and I don't have all the items I would like to have, but it gets the kill. :)

If you need to use the valves to cleanse yourself, a Norfleet is really nice to have, especially if you need to get back up.

like that one guy above mentioned, you can also use the Jakobs Trespasser to knock off Pete's mask, so one can crit him

My sandhawk is level 63 and corrosive, and my storm front is level 58, so those wont do much to him. I've been using an electric pearl pistol called Patriots Stalker for the shields, and an electric magenta smg. For flesh, stiff UKH and OP1 Hornet.

Go get a level 72 electric sand hawk

And get a 72 trespasser

And 72 Bee shield

I recommend a Grog nozzle or magic missile for slag

Got an OP1 Bee and a 72 Trespasser. How do I get the Sand Hawk a second time?

only legit way to get several sandhawks is by resetting your progress. that means you have to do all missions again by starting at liars berg. or get it on desired lvl with another char

Yeah, I figure I'll do that eventually. Up until this point, I did not want to use gibbed, but I can see why people do with the amount of time it saves.
