You´ll be outlevelling stuff at a fast rate this early and since loot doesn´t scale with you your options for on-level stuff are very limited.

First farming gear starts at level 55-60, not earlier. The previous message is absolutely right.

Are you looking for a carry?
If so just use a higher leveled character OR if you don't have one download a level 72/OP8 character and use it to join some high-leveled games with some high levels, but select your level 20 character before spawning in. You'll eventually find some people likely to help you out. Playing on a downloaded character is seen as cheating, by the way.

Lord Cyphre and Zlodeyko have provided good advice here.

The only thing I'd add is that I've found it useful prior to fighting Jack and the Warrior at the end of TVHM (~level 50) to farm the chest at the end of Hero's Pass first, especially if I'm in need of a singularity nade or shock weapon.

Quick to do, can open it 30-40 times in the span of 15 minutes or so, and you can indeed find legendaries in it.

Farming earlier than this is a waste of time given that found gear is more than sufficient to do the job.

The only legendaries worth farming this early on are the fastball from boll and the hornet from knuckle dragger. They can be useful, but the fastball is level 15 and the hornet is level 2. Dint farm in normal, your weapons will get useless quick, save it for tvhm and uvhm. redeem some shift codes and get some golden keys, ez etech and purple guns.
