It is all down to the game RNG. If you have offended the game RNGods in some way, you will not be rewarded.
Stay with it. The LLMs do drop legendaries, but as you are learning, you shouldn't always trust what you see on YouTube gaming channels as representative of real drop rates.
For me the LLMs are still a great source for legendary weapons, although you'll certainly see relics from them on a more regular basis.
As z00t indicated as a very experienced player, it's all RNG. Sometimes you'll have multiple runs with the LLMs and will have 2-3 legendaries; then these will dry up for the next 30 runs, over which time it's all relics and cash.
The more scrupulous YouTuber's will acknowledge the efforts put into whichever endeavour they are illustrating. They'll edit out the fails, but will at least tell you about them.
For many of the rest, it's all about the views.
No problem. Your post got me interested in farming them again. Fifth try, just had a Slagga drop.
Previous four runs, all relics, mainly Blood of Ancients.
Hmmm. Maybe I'm missing something. If you are level 50, having just made it into UVHM, how can you farm them at the Wildlife Preserve? You'd need to progress through the story in that mode until Tannis offers you the Doctor's Orders mission.
Are you farming them in TVHM?
Thanks for the explanation, it makes sense. I've been fortunate to have had all the DLC from the start, so hadn't thought of that.
It's a different experience, but have you tried farming the chest at the end of Hero's Pass? Once you get there, there's no fighting involved, but you'll need to open the chest, quit/save and repeat quite a few times before you get a legendary. Thankfully each open is very quick so you can open it many times over a short time span.
Good luck with farming the LLMs!
Random Number Generation. Sorry, should have spelled it out, not everyone is familar with terms like this :)
