It along with box vr, beat saber, free weights and a better diet allowed me to drop 62 pounds in about 4 months. I've kept it off for 18 months now.

If you don't change your habits the game probably won't help all that much but it will help to keep you motivated somewhat if that's what's lacking.

Either way it is fun.

It can help, but weight management is mostly diet.

You can't out-train a bad diet.

DM me if you need nutritional advice.

If your anxiety is too bad, try "Guided Meditation". It's only like $18 and it's actually really good.

Not sure... haven't played this yet, but here's a couple of my favorite VR games to exercise with:
Pistol Whip
Until You Fall

Both work great on my Valve Index.

It most certainly will. You can choose the "custom" option before a fight, set it to 3 min fights with 1 min rest and the opponent's toughness (and yours) to maximum, that way it is rare that you will knock each other out.

You can burn from 500-600 calories per fight this way, great way to have good cardio and lose some weight as well.

Answers to the question if beat saber is good for weight loss are mostly the same nonsense.

The answer is very easy. One hour of beat saber is around 400 Kcal energy burned. That is 400 Kcal more lost, then when you just sit on your couch instead. BS is very addictive. So playing a few rounds now and then over the day brings you easily on two hours of "training" a day without getting bored. People say, you only move your upper body? Nobody stops you from playing the game on hard and dance to the beat while playing it. Needs a while until you are so good to do so, but not that long.

Then there is allways one telling you to "eat healthy" to lose weight. That is complete rubbish. Weight loss has nothing to do with eating healthy (whatever that means) It is about getting rid of the carbs. Eat steaks or other meat, eggs, cheese, sausages, mushrooms as much as you want. But no bread, noodles, rice, fruits and veggies only the ones you looked up that do not have carbs. Absolutly nothing with sugar in it, not even one spoon in the coffee. With that you take the cheapest multi vitamin / mineral pills you find. You will become ketognic after around one week. Your body will change from sugar burning, to fat burning. But you can switch off you ketogenic body chemie by eating a single bowl of pasta or a chocolad bar. So just do'nt get weak. Getting hungry? Eat more steak! A ketogenic diet and 800 Kcal daily energy burn additionally to what you normally burn will make you lose weight like crazy.

Go crazy on beat saber and eat like i described for a month and you will see so much progress in weight loss and getting fitter that it will motivate you to look up what else you can do to get even more progress.

After you did report back. I am curious what progress you made.

I have tested a lot of VR Fitness games around this game def will BoxVR will also and PowerBeatsVR also. Thrill of the fight makes you push yourself and dodge and punch at several angles - BoxVR makes you Uppercut, Jab, Hook, Squat(rarely) but it can be from 2 minutes to 60 minutes - PowerBeatsVR pushes you making you punch various ways squatting a lot but not as long as Thrill of the Fight or BoxVR but PowerBeatsVR can be more intense at times.

Weight loss is all about calories in-out, you don't even have to exercise to lose weight. Less tl;dr answer is: eat less.

I have done a lot of VR for fitness for a few years now, and TotF gives me the highest peak heart rate and highest calories per minute of any game. Weight loss is generally more about diet than anything else, but for cardiovacular health, this is the best option I have found. As a supplement to a good diet, I feel this is a great option to help improve your health. As always you should check with your doctor before starting any exercise program.

Yes,it will absolutely help. *Not sure why anyone else couldn't give you this straight answer to your question "Will it HELP lose weight?" rather than go on about calorie intake?

If you can manage about 3 fights at 3-4 rounds per day you'll be dong far more for weight loss than jogging every day and you don't even have to leave your home!
*Providing you're not rope-a-doping for 3 rounds ;)
