GTFO
Master Zone Feb 22, 2020 @ 6:50pm
No updates since release (almost 3 MONTHS)
Like the title says, no updates since release and still no Matchmaking.
Game also costs $50AUD, by the way.

Anyone else feel scammed?

They just updated the Roadmap with a Rundown #002 just last week:

Think of it this way: you had $50AUD, the developers didn't. Socialism in action.

Off topic question. How do I get a background like yours? The fireworks.
I'd love to be a fly on the wall in half of the complainer's lives for a minute or two.

I really have a hard time imagining the kind of shambles you'd have to be in to bash something like gtfo on the daily.

Go outside or something. Exercise. Meditate. It's crazy but there is other stuff out there to do if you really hate GTFO that much.

That's still not an update, that's just them saying an update is being worked on. And how long will it take for that update to come? Another 3 months? So what, they'll release their first update 6 to 8 months AFTER their release date? That's not good, that's not good at all.

What are you on about? The daily??? Are you under the odd impression that we are all the same person? I've only complained today. Also, do you think posts on this forum take up my whole day? A post takes 1-2min at most, 20sec on average.

Go outside or something. Exercise. Meditate. It's crazy but there is other stuff out there to do if you are really this obsessed about fanboying for GTFO that much.

There have been a couple updates since release, fixing bugs and adding basic controller support. More updates are on the way, with a new set of missions, and other new stuff. While there's no ETA for the second Rundown yet, it's progressing well and there will be a preview of it at PAX East in a few days.

They ran away with our money.
I swear to Khorn, people are so quick to shout "SCAM!" or "ABANDONWARE!" whenever a game goes quiet for more than a week.

Games take time to develop. They take time to update. Like you complain about games being rushed to meet a deadline or make a quick buck, but piss and whine if it takes too long for your liking? Come on now.

It's cute of OP to accuse someone else of being "obsessed" over defending this game when he took the time to make an entire post calling this game a scam just because it's been three months without an update, despite the fact that the dev team has been relatively transparent about its progress. Who's really the obsessed one?

Exercise some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ patience, Master Z. Or refund the game while you still can and jump ship. I had my own share of issues with this game when it released (namely the price), and no I'm not a "fanboy" or whatever other mindless pejorative you want to sling towards me so you don't have to try and make an actual argument. I have no loyalty to this game, it's unremarkable but fun in my opinion. Your complaints are just unwarranted, entitled, and show a brash ignorance of how game development works.

Calling it a scam or abandonware is taking it too far. I have no doubt this game will get a lot of time and effort, but from an early access and public perception stand point, it would have done them well to have tossed out a few hot fixes right after launch

They did. I am not sure why people keep saying they did not.

The last patch I see is Controller support, that was put in last year in Dec. Almost 3 months away.

I mean, if you bought an indie title in early access expecting a faster release cycle for their second big patch, you might just be stupid. Don't buy early access in the future, it's not for you.
