Vertical Gs still baffling
I've read guides and watched videos but I'm still wrestling with how to reduce the vertical G load at the bottom of 90-degree drops.

I tried to copy KoS's Pirate Cove coaster step-by-step from her video but I'm still getting 10+ Gs at the bottom of the drops, but she doesn't?

You might try finding a coaster in the Workshop similar to what you're trying to make and studying that, it's a lot easier to see things like the bottom slope when you can move your 3D view around it rather than what can be seen in an essentially 2D vid. I'm not much of a coaster builder, but what I can point out is that (in general) the drop at the top should be very acute, as much so as feasible, while the slope at the bottom should be very gradual, to distribute the vertical Gs across more track length.

I don't understand either. I get vertical Gs moving horizontally at low speed.

Maybe this'll help: if you're on Earth and sitting in a chair in your bedroom, at rest, not moving? You're pulling 1 g.

There's two ways to reduce G-forces in any direction - reducing speed and making more gradual, drawn out maneuvers. If you're getting 10+ Vertical Gs pulling out of your drop, the pull-out is probably too sharp. You'll want to make it a lot more gradual, starting it higher and ending it further out. If you can't, you might want to consider using trim brakes to control speed, or building a shorter drop, but that will reduce speeds throughout the coaster's layout.

I'd also suggest using the smoothing tools, if the G-forces are sudden peaks it's most likely because your track is too rough.

On that note, some of the coaster smoothing tools were added in Update 1.8.0 on Oct 16th 2018 -- IIRC, most of KoS's Planet Coaster vids were made earlier than that, what she's showing may be a bit different from the current game.
