Honest Opinion about Tropico 6
It is same game like Tropico 5, just few changes and new labels for menu etc.
Looks more like mod for Tropico 5.

You add few new things like speech and customizable palace which is nothing.

Also Port Royal was good serie but since ur company worked on Port Royal 3 it destroyed the serie which you can even see on reviews.

I still might want to try Tropico 6 by myself but im not willing to pay more than 5€ for a game which is obviously same copy of previous game just with few new things.

I disagree. Based on the gameplay videos, there's a lot more, different content.

Well, it can't be worse than difference between Tropico 4 and 5 :D

5 was a downgrade from 4. The only thing it did right was mod support...

Tropico 6 seems to be the same issue again. They add stuff which aren't every interesting to this kind of game. Like stealing statues... Instead of what they should be doing: expanding on the core of what was tropico. A city builder/management game with political identity. So you can be a dictator, capitalist or whatever you please. Instead of making the gameplay deeper, they dull it down.

As far as I can tell, you again cannot chose worker wage freely like you could before which is a big let down. Apart from that we'll get a bunch of post release DLC with hardly any content at all. So I think I'll skip this one till its in the discount bin for a fiver like all the others.

Totally agree, Every serie should inspire more from previous dictators and add typical stuff which wasnt able to be added. But this game only looks like "Title sells"

For a start, the game is rebuilt from scratch in the Unreal Engine 4. And from what I've seen thus far, there's definitely other stuff than the main points that they've improved or enhanced. I don't know if you've noticed, but the island maps look much more realistic now. It's such a small thing, but remember that previous Tropico games have ridiculous terrain. The mountains look rocky and unrealistic. You have rock formations that look unrealistic. You have volcanoes that look unrealistic. The terrain here is so much better. It's something that we wouldn't ask for, but they did it.

Also there are hundreds of buildings. It may not seem much, but the fact that there's hundreds of buildings means a wider variety of industry and service buildings.

So far, the only thing I haven't seen much of are the disasters, aside from the volcano, which is impressive, and the twister, which I'm not quite fond of. I hope they don't bring back the tsunami though. The Tropico 5 tsunami looks like a lousy port of Tropico 4's and essentially has the same effect as an earthquake. So if they can't do it right, they might as well not do it.

I think things like stealing monuments is something we're just gonna live with though. I personally think this feature will be a hit and miss thing, but they can't just back track now as it is one of their main selling points. I'll probably ignore this feature on sandbox until they have something interesting to steal.

So far it looks like there will be a fair amount of changes. Fully simulated citizens could make the game like a combination of 4 and 5 with a lot new content.

If it's like 4, it's an instant buy.

If it's like 5, I will wait for a sale.

I thought 5 was just meh, in every way.

4 is the best in the series.

I'll never understand why developers keep changing the recipee.

They always make a complete ♥♥♥♥ up of it.

They know 4 works, they know that's what a good portion of the community wants, why not just build on top of that?

Why keep changing the recipee, to the extent that it turns the game into a complete pile of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?

To be fair, if a Tsunami was done "right," it would mean total annihilation. Your entire city would be destroyed.

I meant the tsunami wasn't as polished in Tropico 5 than it was in Tropico 4. It was basically the same as Tropico 4's but it looked uglier and messy. It was very unpolished. Besides, tsunami's don't occur as frequently as compared to the other disasters. If they want to bring tsunamis, they should do a real wave instead of a cutscene of an animation.

Also, tsunami's in real life don't necessarily mean total annihilation. Most waves don't reach higher than the first storey. Tsunami's with multi-storey waves tend to be closer to the epicenter of the earthquake. Meaning, if we were doing this realistically, an earthquake should occur first before a multi-storey tsunami wave takes place. If the earthquake occured far away from the epicenter, the tsunami waves would not be high.

What would be cool is if bad tsunami's would follow with disaster relief units from countries we have good relations with and they'd repair our buildings.
