Scrolling with dual monitors
Wow. How hasn't this been fixed yet. It happens on all Bethesda games for me.
Everytime I try to scroll and I'm not moving the mouse in the opposite direction where my 2nd monitor is, it starts scrolling on the 2nd monitor too. I always have some YouTube videos running on there so the browser is always scrolling. And since it doesn't do that when I move my mouse away from the screen, it seems like the engine is just not porperly keeping the mouse on one screen. I have used programs to force the cursor to stay on one monitor, but it's so tidious to do that everytime I want to play Skyrim and then turn it off when I'm done. There are multiple reports on the internet of this issue, but it seems like Bethesda just didn't care ._.

they don't have any 21:9 support either, never expect it from their games lol, it won't ever happen

Although I do appreciate this remaster, it seems like they just put this out in order to cash in on Skyrim, since the game became kind of popular through modding.

Same here. damn.

I would encourage you all to use this:

http://steamcommunity.com/app/489830/discussions/0/312265589447283546/

to fix the problem. This seems to be a recurring problem, so I may create a dedicated thread to compatibility with Skyrim SE on my project's forums.

This will prevent the game from capturing the mouse cursor, it will also correctly filter out keyboard/mouse input while the game is in the background. I have my software setup to allow gamepad input while a window is in the background (mostly for debugging), don't freak out if you notice that :P

It's not the same problem so your solution doesn't apply. The issue here is that the mouse DOESN'T get captured in game and you get scrollling on other monitors while playing.

This scrolling has been an issue on Windows 10 with original Skyrim as well and is a massive annoyance. This bug makes it impractical to sream this game or record any gaming videos on a multi screen setup.

You have third-party software that is causing that problem, then. The base game by itself does clip the cursor to the window region preventing you from moving the cursor out of the window. A lot of software can be configured to disable that, and that's really the only way you'd be getting the behavior you are.

I can add an option to clip the mouse cursor back into the game, but chances are whatever disabled that will just disable my attempt to fix it as well.

Well, I do my best to keep this computer clean of everything I don't need, and Skyrim is the only game so far doing this so I will, respectfully, assume it's Skyrim. However if you ever find a solution (or a problem causer) I will be very grateful because I would really love to stream the game.

Windows Settings >> Devices tab >> Mouse >> Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them >> Off.
Problem Solved.

That does require an extra click to activate windows when you actually do want to scroll but it is the best workaround for this problem so far. Thank you very much!

Okey dokey, I fixed it for you guys :)

Grab Skyrim_Mouse.7z from here.[github.com]

This is a standalone release of 0.7.0 with just the essentials (plus a GUI system I could use help testing). Unpack it to your Skyrim SE install directory.

It comes pre-configured to center the game's window in borderless mode and to "confine the cursor" to the game's window whenever the game has input focus. That second part is what prevents the scroll wheel from activating other windows.

Feel free to delete CEGUI/... from the .7z file if you don't care about achievement popups. Press Ctrl + Shift + T to see an example of the popup (displays a description and rarity). I could use help testing that new feature though, so that is why I left it in.

Can't really make it work....
I'm using an ENB so I guess the two DX files conflict with each other.

I guess what one could do is make a script that enables and disables that and bind that to a macro so you could use it if you want to play Skyrim. Just guessing here, I don't really know if that's possible ._.

If I had to guess, I'd say you were probably using Windows 7. There are a ton of settings you have to disable to make it work in Windows 7, and ENB won't help anything certainly. I don't think ENB supports flip mode.

Probably a good idea to try it without ENB for a minute. Framerate limiting, texture caching, etc. are all supported by Special K as well.

Oh, sorry, what I meant was that I couldn't get it to work because of the ENB files. I tried putting both DX files into the main directory and also tried different combinations of names, but two DX files just won't do it. It works fine without the ENB files, so yeah. I mean I guess that's the solution to the problem, but just not for me.
I also read somwhere that Alt-Tab or Ctrl-Alt-Delete on the main menu should stick the cursor to the window and it works for like a few minutes, but then it just reverts back to moving the cursor out of the window. The only solution for ENB users really is just disabling scrolling on inactive windows :/
