Can't level up Unless I sleep??

I recently redownloaded Skyrim and enabled a bunch of mods, and suddenly, I can only level up when I sleep in a bed. I have no mods as far as I know that can change this. I never bought Survival mode, either. I heard there's a free Beta but I never downloaded the beta. I also checked in Properties under Beta and there's no Beta being used. I'm super confused and I hate having to sleep to level up it's just lame. Please help me!

If you use mods and you experience behavior which deviates from vanilla gameplay it's always a mod.

I've read through my mods several times and looked up most of their descriptions on the mod page but i found no explanation... This some bull. Lmao

Immersive encounters maybe? Not sure. You'll have to check the mod pages yourself. I remember a mod on the front page that only allowed leveling when sleeping, but I don't remember the name right this moment.

Only leveling up when sleeping was a trait of previous ES games, so I wouldn't be surprised if some mod decided to 'fix' skyrim by including it in the changes and only listed it in the change notes and not as a major mod feature.

Might be just some SKSE plugin that won't be shown on your list because it doesn't contain any .esp plugins.
.esl flagged plugins also won't show up on that list.
Do it the old way: disable mods by half, check if that leveling system still persists. Yes - disable another half. Repeat until you find a mod that causes it.
inb4 "you can't remove mods midgame" dudes appear.

Your game now forces you to sleep maybe 70 times all in all. So what.

Just a couple of FYI's since I scanned your list. Has nothing to do with your issue (I suspect).

Brawl Bug has been incorperated into Wild cat Mod (Verify your version against the Mod Page).

I didn't see Realistic Ragdolls; however if you have it, it's been incorperated into XPMSE (again check your version against the Mod Page).

Regarding your issue. See if you can see something in Active Spell Affects that may give you a clue.

Yeah you know what its not that bad a feature, dare i say its more... immersive.

No goto bed doesn't do anything to leveling. It allows you to get into most vanlla beds and then activate sleep. Great Mod, never leaves my load order.

Sad thing is I started doing the same post I did a few years ago (I have a fixation on Brawl bug and Wildcate, and Realistic Ragdoll Force and Xmpse.) Its the first thing I look for in reviewing lists.

Are you playing on Survival Mode? On Survival Mode, you can only level up by sleeping.

EDIT: Just realized this was an ancient thread that somehow got back up to recency. Well, I guess I'll just leave this here for anyone else...
