Odd control bug

I decided to try and play this game again, and I'm having a very odd control bug. For some reason, it seems to think I'm constantly holding down the fire button. I suspect it's related to my HOTAS joystick, since the 'Fire Weapons' and 'Soul Boost' inputs are both set to Joystick 0, Axis 2....

Video / Controls for arcade machine?

I am thinking that this game could be a great addition to my emulated arcade machine. Gameplay looks perfect, but I don't know about controls and video modes. Does this game support portrait mode? (Windows @ 1080x1920, not 1920x1080) What are the controls and are they remappable? (Arcade joystick and buttons are left, right, up, down, L ctrl, Space, Enter.) Thanks!
