Omnissiah hear my prayers.
Dear Devs, i can`t help it to notice that you are removed the Kastelan from the Imperial guard roster. At least you erase the name from the list and even change the picture were it should appears. This makes me really happy cause increase my hopes from a playable Adeptus Mechanicus faction. Please could you confirm that indeed you remove the Kastelan and isn`t a malfunction of my optical devices. Also, in case this is true, add the Tempestus Scions to the imperial ranks. Waiting for your answer.

When was the Kastelan removed? In 1.0.0 footage it still appears as a tier 8 unlock for Imperial Guard.

Hopefully we see all the primary factions of Warhammer 40K make it into Gladius. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing that kind of variety. Variety is the spice of life and alongside a high quality AI is what will keep this game enjoyable and highly replayable.

Personally, I'd like to see Eldar, Tau, Tyranid, and Chaos make appearances first. After that I'd love to see Adeptus Mechanicus, Dark Eldar, Adeptus Sororitas, and any other factions I may be missing.

It has been removed from the imperial guard unit preview posted on the blog

My beloved toaster-enthusiasts truly deserve some love, its about time the Adeptus Mechanicus plays a bigger role in a game, so I hope this theory is correct. And i mean, if Speehs Marines are worthy being a separate faction, the AdMech has that right tenfold.
Just imagine how awesome it would be if an army of Skitarii and battle-servitors, lead by a secutor magos and supported by the legio titanicus goes to war!

The Kastelan Robot won't be part anymore of the Astra Militarum roster, but you can still encounter it as a neutral unit on the planet.

What's the reason it got removed?

To be honest, even if the Mechanicus collaborate with the IG they don`t used to lend them their most precious toys, the Kastelan is to valuable and doesn`t have much to do in the IG ranks. Also, if you read some post many people including me are asking for an Adeptus Mechanicus faction. Is just a theory but that could mean that they are seriously considering create this faction and noticed that will be weird have Adeptus Mechanicus fighting their own robots cause they are working for the IG.

On the topic of omnissiah. I still think there are some demiurgs left and that they build all the fancy stuff locked up behind walls and their leader is the immortal grombrindal also known as omnissiah.
