I have almost 400 hours in Minion Masters and don't really have a reason to hop back on.
I tried to grind to reach the leaderboards but it just takes way too many games/winning streaks to make a dent in how many "leagues" there are. Plus, their little season things are way too short and only introduce 2 new cards.
I played Duelyst at the very last expansion and thought it was awesome, and then it shut its servers down. I also enjoyed the MOBA Vainglory, but the same thing happened. Just poof.
Don't worry about what stats or other people say. If you enjoy the game, and get matches, then just enjoy it.
and no, they aren't bots.
Actually yes there are bots and they have openly said that. The bots are players that are currently not online. The bots use the deck that that person uses the most when they were last online. If you get up higher then yeah you won't see bots but if you are plat or below you will see them more than you think.
Yeah kind of true. When I was around Gold/Plat the games were different, now at Diamond 1 and above it's always human players - easy check with emote spam and wait for reaction
Wait really? I had no clue of their choosing actual player decks to represent. That is kinda freaking neato, except I am not sure they actively choose any "best" decks. Nevertheless a cool insight that I was totally unaware of, despite facing many such bots.
This has been addressed so many times.
Minion Masters has AI-Players, or "bot" opponents. Players will encounter them more frequently at the beginning of the game and less so as they progress through the ranks. They are designed to provide a challenge, but yet also a good space to experiment and learn the game in the early stages. The higher rank you are, the better the bot will play, as it attempts to simulate an opponent of a similar rank. The reason for their presence is to extend the learning phase of the game beyond the tutorial and to give new players a chance to find their feet as they progress the ranks.
FAQ
Bots follow all the game rules
You will never encounter a bot in Master, Grand Master or Contender.
You will never be teamed up with a bot in 2v2.
There are no bots designed to make you lose.
The bot decks are not designed or matched to specifically counter your decks
I usually screw around for my daily and then shut down for the day. Waiting for a friend of mine to get into it for the 'perfect game' thing from steam, then probably just remove it from my system.
