What you prolly are refering to is mana frenzy and it is tied to xp, and what gives the moust xp? holding bridges.
And why do mana frenzy exists?: to prevent games from going past 6 minute duration.
This is a rapid match game, not a long duratio game, it enqurages you to win the match before or around 3 minute mark.
Wanna talk about my last game, 35 min duration xD
That is a 99% stalemate. Should have been an auto draw by the game at the 20 min mark IMO.
My longest match stalemate match was about 14 minutes, and both sides landed like 8 dragons during that.
I just don't see how its fair in who gets it first. Very rarely can you successfully defend from it. It sucks when you're in a good battle and its about to tip in your favour, only for it to be thwarted by the opponent gaining a random event bonus that ultimately will cost you the match.
Awesome game though, I really enjoy it.
Good advice, Thx! LOL
A bit like ascension dragon decks, who rely on getting dragons asap and winning with those.
Everything that happens before that might make you feel like youre winning, but if you dont win them during that period, you have never actually been winning. (Ascension decks arent really that strong but it can work up until some point at Master rank at least).
something that you must keep in mind is the value of cards and counters, always try to use as little mana as possible to counter a certain push, so you can eventually outvalue your opponent.
It is fair in the fact that the player/team that holds the bridges longest, gets it.
Bridge grabbing and holding them is a tactic in its own, and you need to understand it in order to climb the ranks.
Oh OK, so you're both saying it comes down to bridge control that dictates who gets mana frenzy first? Did not know, I'll be sure to keep that in mind now.
We usually hold the bridges so I didn't pick up on that. Everyone else says its a strategy to play bad to get mana frenzy first?? =/
