Is gold rank any good?

Bragging rights? I mean, I just hit gold rank 5 too. Had a few back and forth's for the first time at Silver 1. So what it means is that it is worth a harder challenge!

Exact same here, seems like I only met people that had any clue what to do about me burning them by the time I hit silver 1.

You can have the max rank of the game (grand master) and still be a "noob" that just started playing, i've seen people just start playig and hit gm in a few days because they had long gane sessions.
To clarify, ranks don't really mean anything in this game other than showing how much time a player invests into this game on a monthly basis.

That is mostly true in premade duos that is for sure. In solo, at the start of season it can be quite challenging.

ive found the game gets much more predictable in gold as you progress as the meta deck starts to become more the norm.

I think there's a lot of people new to RTS/MOBA playing atm due to recent sale. It could explain why its easy to hit gold rank right now. It only took me 5 hours (only started yesterday) to get to gold and I'm usually below average at rts micro.

gold is where the game start to offer i litle bit of a challenge (a little).
I have the same thing lol, started playing within 4 hours into gold, only lost 2 battles. now i;m platinum with a total of 5 lost battles. maybe next rank will be more challenging
