So you can buy cards directly now.
And of course the very first pack is a colossus pack. I almost laughed.

why does it matter that you can spend a huge amount of rubies on a colossus when you can just use 2k shards to get one. I know you get "5" colossi from the rubies pack, but that doesn't give you any game winning advantage at all, it's still just one colossus, just with more glory

Well, you got tokens and shards. Personally, I'm always very low of shards myself and do not have any heroes and I had played for +50 hours. After some time, you loose perspective just how much time you need to acquire all the stuff you already have.

That's 3 + 2 bonus, not just 1.

Well you could gotten that(5 colossus and lots of shards) all along before from just buying alot of tokens with rubies/cash$. All this did was made it cost alot less rubies/cash$. To get the same stuff, what is totally up to your opinon if that is more P2W or not then how it was before this patch.

Not too long ago you had to spend "resources" to even move in expeditions - so what exactly did you expect ?
Nightbringer Aug 30, 2018 @ 7:05am
No, it is not.

I'd understand the whining if it rly went P2W, but basically nothing changed. It's still great fun and still gives basically no advantage to even whales.

Last time I checked, premium account was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sweet and two Colossus in the deck were terrible. How quickly times are changing in wood league.

You can buy a certain card that is currently offered in the shop, correct. What you cannot do is buying a specific card you want or need with real money, because chances are you'd have to wait a very long time until this specific card is in the shop (if even). If it is a daily deal, you'd even have to check daily for the offers, because otherwise it could be gone.

Besides, you could convert unwanted cards before into shards, and surprise! Recruit the specific cards you want with the shards, wow. The shards you were complaining that are so hard to obtain, yes you could just convert the unwanted cards into them. Even now (and before the new store) you get shards for each token you open.

I agree here. Although Rubies were mostly used for obtaining other things than Power Tokens, the possibility to buy them with real money and end up with tons of Power Tokens & Shards was there. It's still there. Although, even here no specific card can be bought. But I further agree that the more cards one already owns, the higher the chances to get that cards one needs/wants by just gathering up the Shards from a load of Power Tokens.

In the end, if a player spends money to get the random card offer in the shop or to buy loads of Power Tokens, the outcome is the very same. Both players will end up pretty sure with the card/-s they wanted.
i actually stopped playing with the introduction of this battle pass, with the cards included in it, the pay to win element just became too much! now seeing that you can actually directly buy the cards.. wow it's just a whole new level of ptw on top of that.. sad really..

Still think it funny the hypocritical of saying buying lootboxes/token, (a rng item that randomly give you something) with this token giving you gameplay changes by giving you cards you will mostly likely atleast use once if not more times. and buying a card from the store that will give you gameplay changes. both rng and direct can both be brought with gold or rubies. (depending on what cards are in the store) so they are either both pay2win or both are not pay2win since they both can/will have the same outcome.
giving someone the ability to accelerate progression by buying it in a cometitive game is never really a good thing. like i said, it has just gotten to a point where i can no longer look past what was already bordering on intolerable..

PEBKAC, honest question here. How do you ever play ANY OTHER GAME OUT THERE? Any similar game have something very similar. In addition, because this is not P2W by most people standards and what devs did here are pretty much standard. If you want to know proper examples of play to win, try Clash Royale.
Nightbringer Aug 31, 2018 @ 11:17am
Well, the reality is that every company does that nowadays. Hearthstone is pay to win, because you need pretty sizeable collection to even compete. League of Legends is pay 2 win, because you cannot play on competitive level with just 1 hero. Clash Royal gives bonus stats for your cards if you acquire more of them. World of tanks, world of warships literally prevents you from playing their game until you grind out more credits which only properly are grinded...you guessed it. With premium purchases! Also, the best tanks are premium tanks. For me, it seems you are painfully lacking in experience what P2W is by comparison to games on the market.

Furthermore, it does not change anything with this patch. You could throw a lot of rubies, get a lot of cards and craft ones which you needed. This buying is kinda pointless, because no one can buy himself a collection at once. Nor it would matter much, because legendary and supreme cards have same power level as common cards and in this game, solid mechanics and good grasp on the game mechanics will always win over superior collection. It is not like Hearthstone or LoL where you simply cannot compete without investing a lot of time and money to acquire hero pool or card pool before trying ranked on equal footing.
