In the case of artifacts, dust can actually be the problem.
I had a 8800GT, the screen would sometimes go into a chess board mode, with squares all over it, then the driver would crash, recover, and do it again within 15 minutes. I dusted it, the card still works to this day.
pure alcohol and tomorrow I'll put a new paste.
2Euphytose "driver would crash, recover, and do it again"
Hertz frequency decreases slightly(Core/Memory clock) and helped mb in MSIAfterburner. Not everything is so joyful. ;-/
they appear when I start installing drivers, and they do not install. Without drivers they are not visible and the color did not remember. Worked for 6 years Gigabyte 670gtx with 36 months warranty inclusive ;(
Thank you!
Solved with that config !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lenovo Legion 5i // 10300h // 2x8GB // 1660ti 6gb
It is still an issue.
I can make toast on my laptop it is insane!
In addition, the developers, in their total idiocy, decided to render huge maps for combat some time ago, 1/3 of which can be seen during the game. Since then, I have been experiencing drops regularly, sometimes to 10FPS lol, although games released this year run without any problems at maximum details.
So, you know, its not your problem, its the developers fault.
So, my humble suggestion as I used to do when played MM is never to have more than 1h tops sessions of the game open. And after that time frame I highly recommend closing the game, checking if it's actually closed upon the Windows' "Task Manager" and then restarting MM (for another 1h tops cycle).
This is not the issue here as a memory leak does not make the GPU run hot, also this problem happens immediately after launching the game even for me with 128Gb of DDR5.
There's something wrong with the game using a lot of GPU on certain settings especially when using high resolutions such as 4K. I'm not sure what is the problem exactly but the settings I posted will fix this problem. The only troubleshooting I've done is checking if the problem is fixed by capping the FPS but it doesn't matter.
Also it isn't related by how powerful your GPU is because I experienced this issue with a GTX 1080, RTX2080 and RTX3080 all of which should be more than enough to run this game easily.
