Is Gax Underrated?
I've been experimenting with Gax recently, especially with Mordar who can double or even triple Gax at the sacrifice of his tombstones (because when the egg hatches it counts as the egg dying, so it triggers a revive).

I put together a few highlights from yesterday here:

(Note I've had losses against dragons too, these are just some of the situations where he worked out best)

The main problem I see with Gax is that he is pretty useless in a lot of situations, compared to, say, fireball, which is useful against most decks. But on the plus side, he can be incredibly sick in certain situations.

Against blood imps / swarm decks - Gax can be devestating, obviously. You may have to shock rock the Guardian, if they have one. It's especially nice against Apep Shield Totem / Blood Imps because unless they can place a shield totem down immediately after gax explodes, they are often dead. Shield totems they already have up will not protect them since Gax kills it at the same time as the imps. If they're Volco and they control the bridges there's a good chance the egg will get firebolted, though.

Against Dragons Nest - If you can manage to get two Gax's out, this can be devastating (though it's possible to defend with black hole). And just one can still be very helpful.

Against low health masters - triple gax does even more damage to the face than beam of doom.

I guess I'd say if you're finding yourself up against a lot of blood imp and dragon decks, and losing, swapping out one card for Gax could be a good answer.

Thoughts?

Now that it's been buffed to 150 damage, it's a niche card that can be very useful, just the way it was supposed to be.

It's a decent card, but I have a feeling that it's more often a more expensive fireball, at least for me. It can slow down the game and give you time to capture the bridges/keep them captured (unless your enemy is willing to throw some free mana/HP), but against pushes where only higher HP minions participate, it's often not a preferable choice. If I had an extra slot in my decks I would likely consider it for few things, but I'm already struggling to hit the viable deck with 10 cards when I want to make something unordinary to work.

Well one thing is for sure, regardless: Mordar Gax is a lot of fun. :)
