maybe its just me, but being on the receiving end of those really one sided matches that last less than a minute the last thing i want to see is happy smiling emotes saying "GG" because the game was not good at all. they know it, i know it... everyone does. ..but thats just me. i have always had a problem with people using GG for literally every circumstance.
there is a lot of context lost with emotes and that is the major flaw of an emote system. where hypothetically if you were on a rl winning sports team and walked up to the losers then 'how' you say the "GG" and "WP" matters.
which is kind of the important take away here. as i said in the previous post the emotes get really annoying after a while. there is nothing to read into and no emotional context. its just a flat GG or WP...etc. to me it makes it sound a lot like taunting when i lose and someone posts that. like instead of just GG it subcosciously registers more like "hey GG nooblet". is that so far off? ppl are always saying similar to that.
Anywho, I can't check, because the servers are down, but if I remember correctly, you can disable your opponents emotes just by clicking at the same place you click for your own emotes. Or has it been removed?
no if i were to say GG i legitimately mean "good game". which i dont use emotes. i mean there are games where the opponent played a good game and won/lost where i 'could' have used it. its just that as i said before any context that i could have given to the emotes is lost.
also, if i can turn off emotes in a battle thats great and all... really. however, thats not what is being asked here. what is being asked is an option in the settings to where you can toggle it 'on/off' rather than having to do it every game.
