Is there a level cap to this game?
I've heard about some people getting to 60+! I'm at level 19 and it seems like forever to level up again, can't imagine the grind getting to 60+.

62 though don't expect to hit it, exp required to level increases exponentially after 40. 63 is attribute cap, 10 is vanilla skill cap but it can be modified to be a max of 15.

You can add more to any attribute that is at 63 but it doesn't add more to it (64, 65, 66) but it does provide the basic bonus that each attribute provides (+1 health, +5 weapon proficiencies, +1 skill point). It also seems possible to mod the skill cap higher than 15 but if you try to get to 16 you go down to 0 and loose all bonuses from the skill (and don't regain any skill points).

So, does that go for agility, too? Will raising that make the character faster, or will it only give five extra weapon proficiency points?

I really don't believe anyone gets to level 60 without cheating. The highest level I have ever attained is in the low 40s, and by then you will have defeated every faction on the map and the game will be basically over.

I've gotten to level 51 in Perisno.

That is a mod where some enemies are worthy 1000+ experience, where you can heal yourself in battle, when combat skills go to 15, and where you face 3000 men in battle quite often.

I do not remember ever having reached higher levels. Getting to level 60 is pretty much impossible without cheating.

I'd say 35-40 is the highest most people get. Beyond that you "can" but the time needed isnt worth it and by that point you're strong enough to handle any threat to you anyways.

Depends on definition of cheating. I don't consider changing the player xp gain modifier cheating, so long as you change it back once youve skipped the 'can't fight aything without getting wrecked and constantly get jumped on the map' stage. It's actually a disadvantage, because your proficiencies end up terribad.

It's definitely doable in some mods. Blood and Steel comes to mind in that regard. Especially some of the older versions where explosives were completely overpowered. You earn quite a lot of xp on siege defense kneecapping 3k+ enemies from under the ladder with a shotgun. My highest level character in that was level 60 before I got bored and started over.
I've also got a character in Pendor that is at level 40 atm and less than 200 days in, because I started spamming bandits immediately as a solo HA. These were without xp modifers, btw.

It's doable, it just takes a lot of time. I'd think the only way to reach it would be to go out of your way attempting to, or to take a character through multiple playthroughs in something like perisno, blood and steel, or pendor.
