I agree, they're OP. All those mounted kniggits...

Did they ever fix the Empire mounted Sharpshooter units? They suck, bad, and they're the top-tier missile troops. Their fire rate sucks. Their accuracy sucks. Their AI sucks. And, they where a huge "I Suck" sign on their backs.

Admittedly, I'm probably playing an older version, but I would like to know if anyone is having a good experience with them in the newest version.

The sharpshooters are as bad as ever. Never bother getting them.

I love the mod sofar, but only thing I hate is you cant do missions for town..... or only the were you must deliver something..... ones I startet as a Chaos. and my mission was to cross the Sea to get to Tavern and deliver some Wine........ not possible.....

Ah, young whipper snappers. I remember a time when the rules for Bretonnia had just been updated, without enough play testing. All you had to do was to stash one of their spell casters in the middle of each knight wedge, pad your army with cheap fodder, and be good at judging distances, so that you could land your charges.

I did not have the cash to have an army in college, but five of us MIT geeks got together and blazed through a tournament in Boston, winning most of out fights by clearing the board completely. No enemy troops left, period, which was a very uncommon victory. We did not get the cash prize, because the аsshоles in charge decided that our army was too poorly painted and the models were mismatched.

Soured me on Warhammer for 22 years. But now with the new Total Warhammer in the works, maybe I will take a look again.

I just played Warhammer Fantasy Battles with a couple of friends. My friend let me use a bunch of figures that had only been primed so we could have a large epic battle. The battle was quite large with my skaven against his dwarves and quite enjoyable for both of us. I did however hear a bit of whining about my lack of proper painting after I won the battle. I never did get around to finishing the paint job on them.

Forget tournaments, try to fight them in a standard battle with a horde of Orcs as your army.

It looks interesting. But, there are some really strange-and-or-obnoxious pre-order and DLC issues that CA is trying to pull. I think they're going to milk the darn thing to death...

In college, I never did Warhammer. That was a bit before my time, I suspect. But, I had a huge figure collection... I would have probably painted your minis for free. :) I also loved the Battletech universe and it's combat schemes as well as several other miniatures-based games. And, then there was the old Avalon Hill stuff. Loved me some old AH box games!

wow... so many memories for me...
i still own way to many armies that i spent way too many hours painting.
good times. I will neveer sell them. But maybe i'll donate them somewhere when i die. :)

In regards to the new TW: WarHammer, its gorgeous and all.. but not happy with it.
Im having alot more fun playing the newest Warsword Conquest mod.
I can't wait to dominate the dwarves with my Beastmen army. Stunties make awesome shishkabobs. >",.,"<
