What I learned from all this is that, martial lords get zealous just like any other lords. Only the good natured and upstanding lords stay devoted for all this time. I gonna give them about 5 towns each now because not enough upstanding lords

All lords can be disillusioned, Upstanding and good natured included.

This is the flaw of politics, EVERYONE is a potential backstabber. Even companion turn lords can betray you.

Much like in real life. Everyone is in this for personal gain.

I said flaw of politics but it can also be attributed to the feudal society of calradia where as you said The Tempted Man

Yes, they do. The difference is that the way they make their decisions on whom to support is rational, and they can be talked into your choice as long as it is reasonable, as opposed to the аssноlе lords who will insist on themselves.

But yes, martial lords take personal attention, understanding of how they decide who is in line for a fief, good relations so that they can be persuaded, etc.

Only the good natured and upstanding lords stay devoted for all this time.
With high honor, upstanding, benevolent and good-natured lords are trivial to manage. Too bad they are not trivial to flip.

after 3 factions were no more, I still have less than 5 lords that is either good natured or upstanding, they just do not wanna join me, maybe because I am a woman character.

Oh, yeah. Your gender is definitely a factor(game prides itself on doing fairly well of depicting medieval sexism) I think females get an under the hood relations penalty when trying to flip or persuade lords.

Strange. My wife has united the map multiple times with a female character in Native, and I've done it in Pendor and Gekokujo. We never felt that anyone was less likely to join us because of gender.

Of course, if like in most other things, gender is counter by renown, my characters always have insane renown, due to my small party sizes, so I may have just missed it.

As for my wife, she never played a male, so she would not have noticed a difference anyway.

So you may be right.

There is another thing, I gave a fief to someone of not noble blood, Ymira, and many lords were pissed and gave a lecture about this, could be it.

This was written VERY LATE at night.

So yeah there is a penalty with female characters.

However, my experience with playing female may not be as extensive as most(I have to actually focus on picking female, since I instinctively pick male).

The "under the hood" thing could be a "feels like" scenario, hence the I THINK.

Just saying, take my comment with a grain of salt.
