Training Peasants (Reward?)
I know a lot of people say it's a troublesome and frustrating quest, but I Really need the money.

If I train them, and refuse the reward, I get +8 reputation instead of +4, but what loot are the offering? Does anyone know?

Cheap food and some craft items, but neither are worth much.

You'll be lucky to get cheap food. Sometimes I don't get anything at all (the loot window opens up but there's nothing in it). If you're going to do those village quests, do them for the reputation.

hmmm, So that's not good...
I know they're poor, but I'd expect more. And I'd expect some money!
Do I even get loot for beating the people who attack them?

No.

I don't think this quest is a waste of time. It's easy to complete (you don't have to hunt down troublesome bandits!!!)

As for the rewards, unless you truly are a pauper, refuse the reward and go for the extra relation boost. You can never have too many villages who like/love you (and are willing to join your army).

Reputation is certainly needed, I'm just struggling with money :/
Only freemen are vollunteering right now and with no camp to put them in, it's becoming hard to pay them.
Noone has jobs for me!! They're just asking me to deliver letters to places I don't recognize.

A good way to raise money early in the game is by raiding bandit lairs. The mountain bandit lair in particular is very easy to defeat -- you can even solo it. You'll get all of the loot in the lair, plus if you get the "destroy bandit lair" quest first (either the lord of Veluca or Yalen will give it to you), you'll get an additional 1500 denars upon completing the quest.

hmm.
Well I've found some lairs, and destroyed them. No big deal, and i got some loot. But doesnt seem like a reliable long term source of income. Do they respawn?

A better way is to NOT raid the lair and simply farm the bandits.

If I'm not worried about relation/honour then looking villages is the best way to earn money. You can earn around 5000 debates every time.

Failing that, in the short term hunting bandits earns decent money. In the long term, having a high trade skill will be very useful.

Only if they're sea raiders. The other bandit types are not really worth farming.

They do respawn. Make sure you get the "destroy bandit lair" quest from the nearby lord first. The quest reward of 1500 denars plus 3000 experience is a big deal in the early game.

Those quests arent for rewards they are for rep. You use them to gain rep with villages in an area so you can recruit faster. Good when you own fiefs in that area or are planning to start a takeover and form your own faction
