Crashes during loadingscreen

I can't remember having any problems with the 2 previous titles, but Banner Saga 3 has now crashed for the 4(!) time during a loading screen in my first playtrough and everytime I have to redo a fight. It gets quite frustrating now.

Yeah, I had some crashes on loading screens too. Sometimes manifesting as infinite loading screen, sometimes in addition switching from full screen to small window (and continuing with infinite loading screen). Once I even had a conversation not end, a character just stood there, gaping at me :), and the next sceen refused to fire up. There does not seem to be any pattern to them - happened at various moments in various playthroughs, usually at least 3 times per playthrough. It did not bug me very much but it's certainly something worth fixing.

Those are hard to track down. Most are machine dependent, and thus tricky to repro & fix. Every report helps though, so please do!

Yeah I have been suffering infinite loading screen bugs a lot more in Banner Saga 3 than in previous banner saga games. In Banner Saga 2 infinite loading screen bug happened only once during a playtrough.

In Banner Saga 3 infinite loading screen bugs happens 5-6 or even more per one playtrough.

It seem to happen totally randomly not in same spots but always when game start to load new scene.

Same problem here, the game has crashed several times while loading (going from fullscreen to small window). I didn't have this kind of problem with the 2 first games. It's been the second time my game is doing this after the same battle (begining of the game, the ambush where Petrus's soldier is killed before the fight). It's annoying, I'm afraid of doing the fight a third time and having the crash again... I reported it by email with all the files and informations, hope it will help.

Same issue here. Usually happens after I finish a battle. It's getting to the point where every time I finish one it crashes.

Funny enough my second playtrough worked like a charm and I didn't change anything at all

I can't even go 20 minutes before it freezes on random loading screen. How can I put together hardware report when I have to quit the process manually ? (It's not crash).

Doesn't happen after any particular action, any loading screen can freeze on random (inside city, entering heroes hall, before or after battle,....).

i9 18core/64gb ram/SSD/Win10.

Have you tried verification of your files?

To verify the integrity of your files on Steam, go to your games Library, choose Banner Saga, Properties, Local Files, Verify Integrity of Game Files.

Please let me know if after taking these steps you still have the freezing issue. Thank you!

I also experience crashes during loadingscreens. I verified the files but it still keeps crashing.
