Well, here he is :steamhappy: Wow, it's been a long time since I last posted here...

So, the first thing to check is if the dredge baby is properly flagged in your save files:
1. Copy paste the following on windows-explorer address bar, to navigate to where your save-files are stored
%homepath%\AppData\Roaming\TheBannerSaga3\Local Store\save\saga3\
2. Pick the subfolder corresponding to the save-profile you want.
3. Open the save-file closest (before) the event in question. E.g. "sav_arberrang_20.save.json". These JSON are ASCII files, and can be opened by any text-editor. If you're sure that the "Resume" (last save) is right before the event, open "resume.save.json".
4. Make a search (CTRL+F) for "dredge_baby" and report the value it has, 1 or 0. These are the global variables imported from previous games, that control the events.
5. If the value is zero, change it to one, and see if that triggers the event correctly.

3. Hmm, please double check, cuz chances are you're just paranoid :steammocking: For reference, in an open board, the AI units will move first in the NW-SE (\)axis and then in the NE-SW (/).

4. Wait up, some archer classes (Bowmasters, red-heads with white, grey or blue cloaks) have a special ability that extends their attack range, from 5 to 7-8-9 tiles (for Ranks 1-2-3). Maybe that's what you're seeing.

Oh. In English the description is like "survive Hard mode without reloads", so it's self-explanatory. I will let Stoic know, thanks for the catch!
There's always hope :) But, from what I grasp, these bugs that are not fatal to the game mechanics (game-breaking) or core-story consistency, are very low priority for them.
Indeed. Stoic are kinda reluctant about tweaking the "balance" of the games, i.e., the mechanics affect population, supplies, renown etc. Who knows, maybe if a "trilogy" edition is ever made, this will be incorporated and re-balanced.
Well, both software have to work "in-harmony"...

OK, I'll check with Khatie (the community manager) and get back to you. We initially discussed about have Steam sub-forums, for SM (like we had for Saga2) and EA, but then decided against it, as it would fracture the relatively low attendance.

I have no idea, i haven't seen a situation this since the first game and i don't remember if it was the case there.
It's a unique story moment and they keep his body, so i don't see why the item should disappear.

I suppose it's just a game "feature", that was later justified by comments like: "we don't desecrate the bodies of the deceased" etc.

Hey guys. Thanks for making this thread FF (and for supporting/answering stuff all across the forums -- I've been super busy w/ work and family and rarely have time for community "service" nowadays).

Do you want me to pin this, or another EA-related, thread? Will have to check w/ Khatie (maybe we can remove some of the older pinned ones to clear up the list).

Yes, a practical ("user-friendly") import/export tool would be handy. Many people ain't super keen on locating weird files and copy-pasting them around...

Hey there. Does this persist? I suppose you, at least, back-up your save-profile before going into said battles, so that you can safely restore it? It's mild "cheating", but with good reason ;)

Better have guys PM you for such gifts. Else, bots snatch everything and sell it in the dark web :)

Exactly. Overwatch triggers whenever an enemy walks in-range. Also, Overwatch Rank-3 practically guarantees the Knock-back, effectively putting most enemies off-range. Note that they can still move (their remaining walk tiles), but they're mostly likely already neutralized.

Hi everyone!

For some reason, when I import my TBS1 save, my char Nid starts in TBS2 at rank 6 and this is bad because she can't learn one second skill and lost 2 points.
...
What can I do to fix this?
Tks! :)

You can edit your saved-game, adding the extra ability/points or "demoting" her.

I'm still experiencing bug #2 in 2.59.01, that is, in Survival when I leveled Ro'Ech to level 6 the hability Horsekick disappeared and instead I now only have Trample lvl 3, instead of Horsekick level 3 and Trample level 1. I tried manually editting the save file (resume.save.json) but any change makes the Resume button disappear in survival and I cannot continue my game. Is there any way I can fix this?

Survival Mode has a hash-check to detect tampered saves on loading... Yes, that bug is still up, unfortunately.

All of these are known issues. You can resubmit them, to "bump" them, with an email to support@stoicstudio.com though.
