How to use an xbox one controller on ACB?

I'm trying to plug in my xbox one controller into my pc but the game just wont let me use it, although I feel I should be able to so does anyone know how to fix this?

You may have to select the option in the settings.

Go under guides, player lists a file you need to dl to make it work
