If you have time, I'd recommend watching all of the separate expansion pack reviews to get a much better idea on how they work. That way you can see for yourself how a lot of the stuff works and you can see where your opinions may vary from his.
For example, he ranks Seasons as the best, while the whole idea of that expansion didn't really appeal to me at all. I did wind up getting it after watching his Seasons review though, because it showed that it included an options menu so you can adjust season lengths, disable seasons altogether, and even disable weather you might not like, so if I get sick of the yearly cycle, I can pretty much remove it without worrying about uninstalling the whole pack.
I still want Seasons, but the rest I have avoided or wish I would have avoided.
