Which Sims 3 DLC are worth it?

Generations
Ambitions
Seasons
University Life
and maybe
World Adventures
Island Paradise

seem to be the only ones worth getting ?

Yes. These all are great options and like them most. Actually that order is even good. :)

If you have time, I'd recommend watching all of the separate expansion pack reviews to get a much better idea on how they work. That way you can see for yourself how a lot of the stuff works and you can see where your opinions may vary from his.

For example, he ranks Seasons as the best, while the whole idea of that expansion didn't really appeal to me at all. I did wind up getting it after watching his Seasons review though, because it showed that it included an options menu so you can adjust season lengths, disable seasons altogether, and even disable weather you might not like, so if I get sick of the yearly cycle, I can pretty much remove it without worrying about uninstalling the whole pack.

World Adventures was great in my opinion, because of the 3 new locations, new collectibles and I do love the maze-like dungeons and so on. Ambitions was okay, because of the new skills. Pets kind of annoyed me because cats and so on function as regular Sims, but I wanted them to be... well... pets, and have their own mind without being controlled by me. I suppose if you like it or not depends on what you want it to be.

I still want Seasons, but the rest I have avoided or wish I would have avoided.

if you want to be part of your sims life go for ambitions, if you are into having new things to do, go for university life, but if you are like me and love taking part of each second of your sims life, go fot generations

Not all the DLC packs are worth it, especially not the stuff packs, 20 bucks for somthing I could have easily downloaded from a mod site? No, just no.

Well i love all the expansion packs (not the stuff packs ex. world, seasons, future, etc) I would say the top 3 from them are seaons, supernatual, and pets. Reason for seasons - weather, seasonal holidays, seasonal events. For supernatual - Got to be many diferent raes, werewolf, ghosts, werewolf, witch/wizzard, and more with more expansion packs. Finally for pets, You can have large dog, small dogs, cats, horses, and other small pets, such as birds, snakes, turtles, lizards. with pets you can control the dogs, cats, and horses in your active household. Also both pets and supernatual have new worlds. Hopefully this post is better than my previous which i posted late at night. And the next mornin i was in a rush i went to rely to one but i delted my post and i had to go to college.

1 i redid my post, 2 i said expsansion packs that make new worlds and stuff, not stuff packs... hate them things. o0w0o
