The Sims™ 3

How to get Custom Textures for Sims 3 (Mainly putting textures on clothing or paintings)
Most of the tutorials I been looking at are outdated (As in the links don't work)

I mainly want to do what Robbaz did in his sims series (Putting textures over clothing or paintings) and just use customs textures

Any help/guidance would be appreciated

No idea who Robbaz is or what they do but...

So with Sims 3 you're not actually texturing the clothing, usually. Normally what you're doing is creating custom patterns that can apply to clothing (or anything else style-able in the game). The official tool is the Create-a-Pattern Tool[www.thesims3.com]. There is a guide to the tool[www.carls-sims-3-guide.com], too.

For me, this Sims Wiki page[simswiki.info] was an easier tutorial to creating my own patterns.

If instead you mean that you want to create clothes that have an image on them like a t-shirt, then you're after a tutorial on stencils[simswiki.info].

Paintings are a whole different thing - here, you do change the texture - but again, the Sims Wiki has you covered[simswiki.info].

Re: Old - yes, given that the game is so old, a lot of the custom content tutorials are similarly old and their links are busted, but I find that if I just google the item, it comes up easily. For example, if a tutorial uses a program called Postal and its link in the tutorial is broken you can Google for "Sims 3 postal" it comes right up.
