So, what *exactly* is the deal with Island Paradise and Pets?

Horses don't work properly in Isla Paradiso, I get it. I'm just curious how exactly that happens. Do horses spawn all around the map like in other towns, and so they get stuck on house boats on their own; or do they only get stuck if you're playing on a house boat and get a horse for the family?

Is there any way to disable horses for Isla Paradiso without uninstalling Pets (e.g. a mod or something)? Perhaps there might be a setting in one of the nraas mods that remove all horses from the map?

How to disabled animal (except for family pets) appears in the world.
1.Click on [Computer] or [City Hall].
2.NRaas > Overwatch > Settings > Stop Pet Adoption [False] to [True].
3.NRaas > Register > Animal Control > Settings all them to [0].
4.If you turn on [Enable Story Progression] in your game > Options... > No mark on Pets and Horses.

Also, there's an in-game option to disable horses and other pets. It's on the last folder in options. However, once you disable it, it will apply to all your games, not just those in Isla Paradiso. So, if you want to do this just for IP, or you want more control over what will and what will not appear in your game, it's better to use NRaas mods.

Awesome! So I might get the EP after all. One thing, though: this disables all non-household animals, including critters? I don't have the game open right now, but I imagine at least one of this menus might have an option to disable just horses?

Just like i said before, it doesn't disabled family pets aka pets from inactive household.

Yeah! all settings can able removes just only horses.
About [Stop Pet Adoption] if turn on it make no randomly inactive household becoming pet adoption sevice for a while, so no random animal from them appears in the world.

For in game options that i said before if you mark pet or horses, inactive household probably gets new pets in their household at later time.

If you wanna disables minor pets like birds and lizards, try looking at this mod.

Don't forget this fix: http://modthesims.info/d/514909/islaparadiso-world-with-fixes-applied-update-2013-11-29.html It's essential for Isla Paradiso to actually work. The author has other similar fixes for other EA worlds, so, you can install those you are using, but IMO only the one for Isla Paradiso is really necessary.

World Fixes mods also recommended too, its make your game better as well.
Do not forget installed all them when you have a time.

But just DO NOT downloaded "Shang Simla or China" this one cause more problems than original.
