Help! Game crashing during SIM creation
Hello!

I've just bought and downloaded the game, but it has been constantly crashing when I try to create a new SIM. I've managed to create a male one, but now it crashes whenever I try to create a female character for my girlfriend. It usually helps when she is selecting the outfits. It's so frustrating not being able to enjoy the game we've just bought.

My specs are:

ASUS X555LF laptop
I7-5500u
GTX 930M
6GB DDR3
Windows 10 home

Thank you very much!

Having the same issue. I'm using Windows 7, however. I've spent a little over an hour today trying different things to get the game to work. Different resolutions, switching to one graphics card.
Not entirely sure what to do at this point.
Love the game. Played it a few years ago and wanted to get back into it, but no matter what I do, the game just crashes.
About to just say screw it and request a refund.

Yeah... it's really frustrating. I can't redownload and reinstall the game now due to lack of a decent connection. Have you tried that?

There are a few things to try:

  1. Use Create-a-Sim in windowed mode. (Use alt + enter while in-game to switch between full screen and windowed.)

  2. In graphic options, turn off reflections. Sometimes they cause glitches in CaS that can cause crashes.

  3. Turn off the in-game Store. The in-game store downloads a lot of stuff to your computer while browsing for clothes, hair, furniture, &c. and that can cause some crashing - and besides, it's suggest selling/advertising and sort of annoying to many of us :-) (Under your General settings, untick "Enable in-game store".)

  4. If you have a very good video card, try enforcing vsync for the game to keep the framerate sane and your video card more stable. (For NVIDIA, open the control panel and under "3D", select the game - ts3w.exe - and scroll down to turn vertical sync on for it.)
