before to change this setting you need have
1- HDR monitor or TV (me I have Acer x27)
2- Windows greater or equal than 1703 (me I have version 1803) for question of support the I am not sure, educating guess, game developer probalby check for this exact version so 1703, not greater than...
3- Windows 10 HDR option activate in display it's call "HDR and WCG" in 1803,
so setting->system->display
if 1-3 are not respect the setting will comeback to off before you can reach setting in game (I test it before with disable windows 10 hdr setting)
Edit
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty WWII\players2\user_config.cfg search for r_allowHDR
You should found this
seta r_allowHDR "0"
You want that
seta r_allowHDR "1"
save the file
Those files are on your Steam cloud, so popup from steam will warn you that local file are more recent than cloud choose local
If your game react like me, you see HDR Ouput option to On, in graphic advanced, don't change back to Off, because it will be locked again
In basic graphics menu you should see 2 more option HDR white point settings and black point settings.
Enjoy, I hope it help!!!
or DP port in your Case that can handle HDR
