How will you play without VR? You mean with a controller? There would be an uproar with you having an advantage in games over VR, I vote no.

Rec Room is designed from the ground up as a VR experience that fundamentally requires a HMD and hand controllers. This creates very engaging games and social experiences. We focus our development time there and don't have any plans currently to begin supporting a 2d client.

Nice necro, but it is pretty interesting how 9 months ago they had no plans on a non-VR mode, yet here we are now. Can't really say that it was the best of things to develop, but hey, whatever they want I guess.
