Is there any penalty to dying?

I remember at some point in the early game, there was some mention of you getting weaker everytime you die.

Just curious if I should be reloading saves or not?

No penalty whatsoever gameplay-wise. Before the events in game start, dying meant loss of memories for the TNO. The events are set in motion BECAUSE you stopped losing them upon death.

Die all you like.

In fact, there are occasionally benefits to dying.

There is some debate to if the final area of the game is harder if you've died a lot, but I don't know what the truth is, and if it is you have to die a lot for it to make a difference.
