The Harvest 3.1 Flies Swatting glitch?

Playing the harvest on Impossible, i already beat the level 2 or 3 times at this point. The problem is: whenever i put my level 3 major soldiers (around 7-10) on top of the infested plants, the icon of the minimap simply disappears right away and it doesn't count as freed from the flies. Of course i don't get the achievement as a result. Any suggestions or explanations?

Yep, this is an ongoing issue and it's a bit unique in that we've not been able to pin down exactly what's happening.

We THINK it might be something to do with pending flies and the minimap info not being very helpful (the fly icon disappears when there are no active flies, but there are still flies to spawn before the patch is truly considered cleared). In which case this is our fault and we need to communicate it better (probably by dimming the patch when it still has flies left to spawn, or something similar).

On the other hand we have people who definitely don't think this is the case.

If you use the achievement tracker, do you get the "conditions met" message?
