Cant select mission (Steamdeck)

it wont let me choose what ant to use for example if i clicked on the 5th mission i need to choose a ant to play with like the bombardier or the spitter if i us my trackpad what functions as a mouse i cant click it so i cant start my analog stick dont work either to choose,any solution?
for it i tried edditing the settigs but nothing seems to work

i found a fix
in the game settings you have to set gamepad ON
Its not ON by default

in the game settings you have to put gamepad ON then it works fine
