The Terror Is Reality game mode is broken

I wanted to bring this to the attention of people so that you do not waste your time on this game mode like me and the many other people I played with have done.

If you're someone looking to play Terror is reality either for the TIR Helmet & Suit or the achievement TK's Favorite then you're out of luck.

After the steamworks update back in 2016 Terror is Reality broken, when you're going to the final score after slicycles the game will freeze and crash 100% of the time.
There's no fix for this.
Meaning you cannot earn reward money needed for the TIR cosmetics.
And it also keeps the game of Slicycles (and possibly the 3 games before that) from counting towards the TK's Favorite achievement.

Rising Star & Win Big are still achieveable via playing TIR but that is it.

Capcom isn't going to fix this game because it was made by Capcom vancouver which was shut down September 18 2018, and Capcom Japan has no interest going back to their old US made games to fix them.

If you're a completionist wanting to get rid of that last achievement from the list then you've got no other choice than to use Steam Achievement Manager.
Search it online and Github should show up where you can download it from.
Be weary when using it though as online games using VAC has a slim chance of getting triggered when using this program on games that uses it, which aren't many. But worth mentioning.

It is safe to use on this game, that's how I unlocked TK's favorite for myself.

Well, not many (if any) are playing. So you might sit there for a while.
If you insist on getting the other two achievements then I suggest you find some people and create a group to play. That's what I did.
But remember what I said. TK's favorite is unobtainable. That one you'll have to cheat for or live with the fact that it'll be the last achievement left on the game that you can never unlock.

Are we for sure that you cannot get TK's favorite? despite the freezes if it gives you the stamp towards the achievement at game end you could in theory still keep remaking matches after end game score board freezes and collect each game type win. the only thing you'd be unable to do is earn legit money for the TIR outfit.

it really comes down to where and how the game awards achievement progress
if the progress is awarded as you win each minigame and is awarded immedately, the achievement is doable. if TIR needs to finish so it can save which games you won to the progress, its undoable

I am certain.
We had a collection of 7 people doing TIR at different times (due to time zones) and we all had checklists of which games we had done and won, I was the first to complete my 9. Didn't get anything, so we thought we might've missed one. Did it 2 more times and in that time 2 more of the guys got their last game wins and didn't get anything either.

I would've thought it counted the progression since Rising Star & Win Big are awarded immediatly as the match / game ends. But that wasn't the case. What part of it that doesn't trigger, I'm not sure of. But what I am certain of is that it isn't doable.

a minor necro, but this supposedly allows you to get TK's favorite even with the crash.

Update: can confirm this works. did it with a team of 4. TK's favorite is still legitimately earnable. you can even get money this way, albit slow, so you could legitmately get the TIR outfit if you had a group thats patient enough.
