You say thermo regulators are useless but I concer. Their one of the most helpful things since if you create a hydrogen cooling system, you can keep you base cool. The issue would be that the thermal regulators will overheat but that can be solved by dripping any cooler liquid on them.

I place all my heat producing machinery at the very bottom of my base. In the center I have a room with wheezeworts in hydrogen. This refridgerates two rooms connected to it. The cold temperature then leaks through the metal doors and travels down to the hot area. My machines never overheat and my base stays a comfortable 23-30 degrees C.
