How do you CURE slimelung?
Woof. Okay.

So I'm not doing amazingly when it comes to Slimelung. I do understand the ways to prevent it in advance and to hold it at bay already, but I've lost two dupes and a third is nearing her end from hanging out in the slime bio more than I ought to have anyway.

I've stuffed her with vitamin chews and had her sitting in the pharma chamber and/or medical beds for the entirety of her sickness.
For a while it looked like she was getting better, but eventually her vitals' progress paused at 1.5 cycles to go while the slimelung continued. Now the slimelung has about 1.3 cycles left and the vital's immune system still has 1.5.

So I guess it's probably too late to save her (she had a 4.0 lead when recovery paused though), but I sure would love advice for how to save the next one when it happens.

You kill it with either clean O2, which is slow, or with chlorine, which is fast. You cure infected dupes with a medbay with sickbeds for them, and another dupe with high priority on care in the priority tab. Just watch the medbay while this is going on. The sick dupe should go lie down in a sick bed and then the care dupe should go there and treat the sick dupe. There is a bar for when the dupe will die. You need to provide care, which takes a few seconds, about once per cycle to reset it. It takes about four cycles to fully cure slimelung.

Generally I would advise you stop any digging etc in any nearby slime biomes when you have sick people and think you might get more. This depends on their traits though. Some dupes can dig away in slime all day and basically not get sick, while biohazardous dupes will get sick almost immediately. You need enough sick beds for all the sick dupes, but also enough healthy, non-squeamish dupes to heal them to prevent deaths. I would recommend a door at the exit to the slime that you lock for all the dupes until everyone is healthy again. Then maybe a few exosuits to reduce the problem once you get the tech.

It is also smart to build the medbay sort of close to the kitchen. The malingerers will usually need to go there to get food, which can spread germs. The shorter the distance, the less problems you'll have. You can also have a food supply in the medbay. But I think that can get a little fiddly to keep stocked sometimes, so I just use the mess hall and build the two close to each other. And no ladders if poss. Sick dupes tend to drop food sometimes when they have their animations, and if that's on the ladder it will drop to the basement so they will have to go back for more food. I once had a dupe starve to death because of this.

Give the sick dupe placebo pills and hope.

I guess that was it then. I didn't have someone tending to them the whole time.

Yeah, there's always something little you overlook. It gets routine after enough bases. Oh, one more thing: I'm not exactly sure why, but the medbay tends to run out of O2 when sick dupes are living there. To prevent this, make sure it's extra well oxygenated. The medbay is always one of the first places I place an O2 vent because of this, as soon I get electros up. But early on you can just place the medbay above one of your diffusers with an airflow tile in the floor.
