How do you decrease pressure
As per title, how do you reduce the concentration of gases in your base? I've got 4+kg on every tile of my bass and the stress of popped eardrums is making the game unplayable.

Have googled and found lots of useful tips like "don't let pressure in your base get too high", but no info on how to reduce pressure.

Digging into various vacuums and other low pressure pockets didn't make much of a difference in the grand scheme of things.

Automate Oxygen Generators
Remove High Pressure vents where you don't need them
Expand your base in general

I too am having a ♥♥♥♥♥ of a time keeping pressure low. Most of my base was sitting at 3k and I have no idea how it got so high. I dont have a single high pressure vent in my base. As I expand I pump O2 into the tunnels so they end up witht he same issue, and often end up with a higher pressure then the core of my base. I guess not running o2 pruduction 24/7 must be the key to keeping it low. I'll have to give it a shot on my next run. I'm still new to the game so I'm really just running from one failure to the next

maybe a screenshot of your bases?
I'm intrigued about how you managed to overpressure your bases in the first place...

On the other hand you have to move the gases or turn them in to something else, like power using a natural gas or a hydrogen generator. Now, if it is a CO2 related issue you may want to build a carbon skimmer to destroy it.

How to get rid of high pressure?
stop making it.

Don't think there's much to show. I only have O2 and CO2. It's presumably the O2 production, but I have no idea how to counter that.

open the doors and let the pressure equalize with the area outside your base :) or put your oxygen production on a timer and/or use carbon scrubber to remove the co2 and henceforth releive pressure :)

There is a glitch if you mixed gas in small room. Ex, if you are pumping CO2 and on the vent contain O2 or other gas types in low pressure that traped there, then the gas pump will keep bring in the CO2 ignoring the pressure limit. So, now the only way to fix it is by removing/pumping out that trapped gas. If you got too much oxygen, currently the only non-powered way that I know is by creating bigger room nearby and allow the overpressure gas to flow to that room, and stop your oxygen production till the pressure hit stable value....

It would be easier to help you if we understand what is causing your problem.

The short answer is to stop producing oxygen and release the excess of gas.

Since both Deoxydizer and Electrolyzer shuts off automaticaly when max. pressure is reached (1.6Kg i think), I'm guessing that you are producing your oxygen using Terrariums, disable them all.
A carbon skimmer in the basement helps. *in an enclosed system. Post a screenshot or two of your ventilation system. We can help better then.

I made a room with mechanized airlocks to delete gas
like this

I don't know if this "cheese" still works, but you could try bottling gasses by pumping it into gas pipes and then deconstructing them. If that doesn't work anymore, try lfstgenius 's cheese.

Legit way would be carefully managing your gasses and monitor that you don't overproduce. Use Pufts to eat PO2 and Slicksters to eat CO2.

Cheers.

CO2 scrubbers remove pressure

add some magnetic fields, various element wavelenght, and gravi wave property to the game (they got a nobel a little weeks ago) ? well they are handy when it come to pressure, but that might be to much in depht "darpa derps drops" stuff in addition to pressure and heat transfer for the current game engine and everyone computer to handle ?

micro managing pressure well ; ) problem mostly happen when you don't preplan enough regarding waste generation and opening overpressured poach in the wild and there refining

step by step, explore slowly and wisely, if you don't want to meet and overpressure overflooded silly escalation dead end, moslty about that

Or alternatively use a gas pressure switch to pump the extra oxygen into a holding chamber.

CO2 is pretty easy. i just make the bottom right of my base the lowest point so all gases flowing down have free flow to there and put a CO2 skimmer there( for some reason gases go down and right i found) have it linked to a water purifier. the ater get's dirty then cleaned with no value change so no need for extra water from outside the system. put purifier outside base so when it drops poluted dirt you don't get PO2.
i use the self powering oxygen system and have them along the top of my base. electrolysers stop working at 1600 i think it is so over preassure isn't an issue.
make a room off the side of your base and pump it full of O2 until you only have O2 in it. put a pipe leading into it with a high preassure vent. and place gas pump inside with a switch outside the room. you can put 20kg per "block" into your storage then and pump it back if needed. great way to refill long racks of suits i found.
