when you look at the file in it's folder it should read to you debug_enable
if you right click, create new text file and then name it that it will work. Then press backspace in game.
to be clear. Do not write.txt at the end of the file.
Yes you cant do that and looking for this answer is how I got here but I think I found a work around that I tested with the wheezeworts but not with animals.
With the new update on dev mode we have the power of templates, which is essentialy a copy paste tool meaning that you can find a wort in the world, copy it and then paste it =)

There are some map gens where certain elements is just spawned wrong, and it will crash the game when that part of the map is revealed.
It's best to just start a new map because the game will crash when your dupe discovered that buggy spot anyway.
