Worth it in 2024?

Is this worth getting in the current year? I don't imagine MP will be alive for too awful long after launch so I wonder if the SP content is viable considering I've never played the game before.

IMO this game never grows old. It's a bit different from your casual RTS type game where you need to mine resources (here you need to occupy strategy points) but darn... it's very much worth it.

Graphics are awesome, aged really well. The strategy is different and the best part... if you play with other factions you truly play a different game.. it's not necessarily the same mechanic with other units, there is overlap but there are also major differences.

Note: I don't really play this for the story but more so the skirmish battles. I love those.

The worst part is the lack of modern screen resolutions, otherwise it's an awesome RTS for single player as well!
