CAN't START MY STALKER SoC game :(

need help to start this game. steam says it starts, but nothing happens. is it because I have Windows 7 64-bit or something. Or do I need to download a mod. I really wants some help. :)

try uninstalling and re-installing. I had this same problem with TF2 on Windows 7 x64 the only thing that solved it was a reformat. :(

I have windows 7 x64 and it runs perfect for me.
Does it give you any errors when you try starting?

no, nothing happens my steam thing turns green and then blue, nothing happens

Try launching the game via the XR_3DA.exe file from the bin folder in your install directory

I tried to do it but a error message like this come: the program cant start because xrSound.dll missing

you might have a crashed program running in the background. Open STALKER in steam, Go to task manager, close all instances of the STALKER game, open it again via Steam. I had a similar problem where Steam thought the game was running but didnt open it correctly and wouldnt run it again while it was 'already running'.
