I have the same problem, I bought the whole series when it was on sale and today I downloaded Shadow of Chernobyl. I'm a bit worried, what should I do? Should I call the support or should I wait? What if I don't get my key?

Just download nodvd crack for version 1.0005 from gamecopyworld and the game will run ok. It's not illegal because you payed for the game (thus you own it) which steam didn't even have

I just tried it myself, launched the game and started new game fine, no problems at all. I'm glad if I helped :) I'm not sure but I think that you have to make new shortcut in your desktop from that cracked .exe file

@theygrizzly: thanx for the heads up. Its a bit absurd we have to do this. I joined Steam to pay for legit games and avoid cracks. I feel like I have been sold a car and have to wait for the keys to come from the factory! Why don't they license a generator that counts keys created?

Sorry to read you guys are held up in getting access to the game. I'm sure you'll get keys soon. I've had this happen before too but thankfully it is a rare occurence. On a bright note, it is going to be worth the wait I can assure you. I am well into the game now and it is just awesome.

By the way, I am playing vanilla and haven't run into any bugs in over 25 hours of play time. I did encounter two crashes but I just reloaded the most recent save and was fine after that. It's been many hours since then and no further issues with vanilla Stalker. I'm running it on Windows 7 64 bit on an iMac btw. :D

All I have to say is that Steam is lucky I can't find a number to call because I would feel bad for the person answering the phone. but when this is fixed, i'm looking for friends to play mutiplayer with so hmu
