Reputation problem
So i have encountered the reputation bug where from excellent it turns into terrible suddenly.

I just bought Obokan, saved the game and went to try it out, at this time i had excellent reputation. I have killed many bandits (10-20) and cleared the military under the bridge in Cordon. I checked my statistic a little more than an in-game hour after my last save and my reputation suddenly became terrible from excellent. I know that killing bandits and military does not decrease it, and i also did not kill a single neutral or friendly stalker in that period of time.

I have researched about this and some people say that it's visual only and your rep is still excellent even if it shows terrible, and some say that you need to fix it with a mod.
I know that reputation affects the ending what you'll get and i'd like to get the excellent reputation ending first if possible.

I'd like to know if this is just visual only and i should have nothing to fear of, or i have to use a mod (which i really don't want to) to fix it?

Also i don't know if it matters, but my rank was experienced when i was excellent and when i was veteran it was terrible.

Don't worry about your reputation, it changes constantly. One second you'll be walking with terrible reputation, next you'll see it's turned to excellent, just do some missions.

Maybe you took some stalker elimination missions? Those reduce reputation.

Oh yeah. Sure i did, but would it decrease it that badly?

It would, but like I said, reputation is basically useless. There are endings tied to it but those endings are nothing but videos. You don't get new branching paths or levels or anything unique that gets unlocked by having different reputations. Don't worry about it.

Update: I did a few side quests for Sidorovich and my reputation is back at excellent again. Amazing.

Well maybe you can fool PsyWar and all the NPC's, but you can't pull the wool over my eyes!

BTW, real endings do not influenced by reputation. And false endings depends on many other aspects, which sometimes include terrible/excellent reputation.
