Crash on Startup

My game is crashing on startup. The little splash screen comes up, the game opens to a black screen with a black popup, then the game crashes. No popup error message during or after. I've played it fine for 60 hours before on the same computer without any issue, but I reinstalled since the new game is coming out and I'm not sure why it's not working now. Call of Chernobyl mod pack works fine when run from my desktop. I tried running it without the steam overlay, and I tried verifying files all verified fine). I have a windows 11 asus predator helios, NVIDIA gtx 1060, Intel i7-8750H CPU, 32g RAM.

This is the message I get when I paste after the crash:

installed any audio software lately ?
current drivers for audio device ?

I haven't installed or updated any audio software, and my drivers are all up to date.

I also just downloaded Call of Pripyat, and it works just fine. It's something specific with Shadow of Chernobyl. We tried to look for the file that wasn't working, and we can't even find it, but Steam says all 71 files were correctly verified and no issues were found there.

If the game continually crashes for you, try this fix!
Settings
Privacy and Security
Windows Security
Virus and Threat Protection
App and Browser Control
Exploit Protection Settings
Program Settings
Add program to customize
--(Click on BIN folder, select XR_3DA. This is your S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl application.)
You're going to find Control Flow Guard, tick Override system settings, turn off. Scroll down further till you find Force randomization for images (Mandatory ASLR) Tick override system settings then turn that off as well.)
Restart your pc, when you load up the game a message will pop up asking you to download a windows feature called Direct Play, go ahead and download that and enjoy your game :)

I found out how to make sure Direct Play is enabled, and it already was enabled all along, so unfortunately that isn't the fix I need.

Unfortunately it looks like there is no fix for certain bugs. :(
