Sidorovich's door won't open

I've tried everything and the door to his trading bunker won't open!
What do I do?

I remember I had that bug in 1.0, but it was fixed later somehow. I think I opened the door by running and jumping against it. :)

Load earlier savegame maybe?

I had this bug once, years ago. I used a fix I read about on GSC Games forums and it worked for me. Apparently the .zip file and the installation instructions are still here:

I fixed that by throwing a grenade down the stairs, blew his door clean open.

I always kick some boxes in the way so it won't close.

Well that depends, what exactly have you done so far in the game? What mission did you just complete etc etc

Nice Necro sheesh. Also at 8pm Sid goes to bed and locks the door until 5-6am . I can't believe ppl don't know this.

Thank you on the Necro praisia. We know all about Sid's hours and just don't care. I beat down his door all night long. A Stalker has to keep movin and groovin for the devils and the demons he does not fear.
