Why is it so hard to kill people?
I lace them with bullets and nothing happens. Trying to take on three is even hell because they move so well. Is this fixed with a mod or am I just complining too much?

I found that it is *realistically* hard to kill people.

At extreme close range, a single shot to the head will take out anything/one.

At anything above 20 meters, handguns are less than lethal, shotguns useless, however assault rifles (well aimed) will take down targets at 200-400 meters reliably.

But yes, you shoudl mod. At the very least, the 2009 Complete mod that everyone talks about...

Complete as a whole makes the game too easy. The realistic addon rebalances the guns to make them, well, realisitc.

"Too easy" is relative! But yeah, there's certainly more realism available if that's what the OP actually wants!

Its very easy to kill once you learn the rules. Dont shoot while moving, dont shoot from the hip, shoot from crouch/low crouch and use aim (right mouse button), try to aim for the head, dont waste ammo when enemy goes into stagger animation because they have an invincibility window, use the time to aim for the head.
Always try to find cover, dont be shy to move and run away when things go south.
Using a scoped rifle makes life a lot easier (still have to crouch when shooting for best results).
Lacing with bullets while moving and without proper aiming is a waste of ammo and a recipe for frustration because game will do its best to punish this kind of behavior.

I love the difficulty of STALKER SOC. I don't know why. I always did. I'm just playing through yet again (I originally played disc version so ignore Steam time) and I play on master difficulty precisely for that challenge. In fact, I think it gets too easy, even on master, as you progress through the game and grab the better armour and weapons (and 5 batteries! ;) )
how do you install it?

With Autumn Aurora 2.1 people die really fast. So do you though.
If you play on master at least. Greatly improves A.I. too.

I just find this game desperate.
Died 2 times in the first mission.
So, time to learn the basics of combat, recognize frinds from enemies, or just make a mistake, i must replay from the very start.

How come they did not input intermediary WP ?

I was blocked very early in Metro 2033, gone quite far in Last Light.
I hope i will play this one more than 30 minutes...
(i don't play easiest mode and don't want to)

You can save anytime so i dont understand the "must replay from the very start" statement.
When i first played this game i died at least ten times in the first mission, on stalker(normal) difficulty.

About the difficulty levels, in this game the difficulty levels are not what they seem. Master difficulty doesnt really change the difficulty level, it changes the game mechanics.
Some people (especially those who want to play Stalker as the average shooter game) will like the master difficulty because it virtually removes the chance to "miss" and greatly enhances the damage dealt by the player, the enemies will also kill you much faster so the game will not be the same at all.

I would recommend trying the normal (stalker) difficulty first, then try master difficulty, see what suits your style more.
Many players insist that Master is actually easier than Stalker difficulty, and in a certain way it is, you dont need to worry about some of the finer aspects of the game mechanics because they are simply removed on master difficulty.

It sounds like you are still using a basic pistol or sawed off. You can't expect those to drop armored enemies outside of point blank headshots, and even unarmored enemies will take multiple hits in the chest, which is standard behavior. Another thing to keep in mind, is that outside of master difficulty, the game has a rng system on your shots meant to imitate the idea of 'glancing' hits and such. Visibly, you might empty the entire magazine, but according to the game, only 3-4 of them might have done full damage.

I play without mods and it seems fairly easy to kill someone, so maybe its you?
