I do have notice something like that but instead of having major drops of speed it just simply fast things up.Instead of the grass move with the normally with the wind sometimes it goes faster. But is certainly a issue of the game's programming.
Please take a look at this videos i recorded and confirm you have same problem
1. stalker with mod https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1oeS3V0GBETOXVrWERiRzdWZWc/edit
2. stalker without mod https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1oeS3V0GBETblRxekYzd1YwOWM/edit
Tell me what is your graphic card and what drivers you have installed
GTX 760
The problem also used to happen with an APU A5600. I think it can't be solved, it's probably related to frame times in some way, it is missing many frames, probably an issue with the loop repeated to animate grass.
I've read about the source code being leaked, if that happen, I would be able to solve that within summer after I finish this semester, however, I'm not very optimistic since it's a known issue and none of the big mods solved it.
I know the stalker game uses a page file too, mine is at 4gigs. But that may have nothing to do with this. I am on a VisionTek Radeon 4350 512mb 16x pic express.
it has nothing to do with hardware, it is a software issue.
Thanks for the help, I will update this if I found something when I start searching for a way to fix it.
