Take them if you want to make money. If you go to the Agroprom, makes sense to take Barkeep's quests and kill some bandits or military deserter to earn more money. Some assassination targets have unique guns, and if you bring enough artifacts to Sidorovich or Sakharov, you'll get good armor etc. If your goal is to complete game asap, you may ignore these quests.

They are usefull till midgame. It's a good idea to keep artifacts and monster parts that you may find to complete them, since it's the most commom task. As rewards, some really good artifacts (from the 5 mama's bread, 4 i think it's from side missions, for example) and even armors like the Berill are rewards.

Most side quests can be repeated some are one-time only like killing unique NPC assasination, and Arena fights.

They are mostly to boost income and some of them give good artifacts too.

I was going to create this exact thread. So glad I found this instead. That being said there are some random NPCs around the bar that also make similar requests like getting a family gun back, are these also repeatable side quests or one off? I don't mind doing the one off quests to get some income boost and better loot but I def don't want to keep wasting time doing endless fetch quests.

Generic sides are forever, but the sides that have some lore aren't. Same than before.

Family Rifle is a one-time quest.

Kill the Bloodsucker Lair is repeatable and Freedom also gives that quest(different name) so good idea to get both so you get more rewards.

Most(all?) kill or defend the enemy, friendly camps are repeatable and many of them are offered automatically. You can do them if you are near.

I think all the "Kill the Mutant Lairs camps" are also repeatable.

Kill the"random" NPC quest has repetables but the quest chain will also have a few kill a unique NPC chain those NPCs often have unique weapons too.

Eg. Kill the Deserter Soldier is one time, kill Vampire is one time.(that location also has a scripted "trade" for a gauss rifle.).

Sometimes Unique NPCs can die from random A-life so that quest is skipped.

You can get a sidequest and then drop it so you can get the next one in the chain.
So you can get those you want to do. I do this often.

Repeatable sidequests are reoffered in 1-2 in-game days.

(1 ingame minute is 6 seconds in real life.)

Easy side quests are give artifacts and mutant parts.

Most major hubs have a blue chest and you can store your stuff there and complete those quests easily.

Some side quests are more unique like the Arena fights.(gives very good money).
You need to be veteran rank to do all the rounds.

Or doing the 2 quest for Skull but that will also make Freedom Perma hostile.
